No need to pack a weekend bag for this one, Nitro Heaven is held right at the Perth Motorplex. In its fourth year, the Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car Show is one of Australia’s most popular drag racing events. It has everything you need for the perfect night out and features four Aeroflow Nitro Hot Rods named Psycho, Berzerk, Spooky and Chuckys, each with 3000 horsepower ‘monster motors’.

Held at the end of the year, the Vintage Stampede is just as much fun for fans as it is for vintage car owners. First held in 1989, this one-day event includes a regularity trial allowing the vintage cars to be driven competitively. Fans will enjoy full access to the pit lane area and the opportunity to talk to the divers about their car and its history. The stampede will be held at Barbagallo Raceway in Wanneroo, a short 45-minute drive from Perth.

Northam Flying Fifty and Hillclimb
Spanning two days, the Northam Motorsport Festival is well worth a weekend away. The event kicks off with the Lindsay Monk Memorial Hill climb at Mt Ommaney on Saturday April 7. The Minson Motokhana will take place later in the day at 5pm at Bernard Park. The next day, on Sunday April 8, visitors will be treated to a full day of regularity events around Northam CBD with the Northam Mitre 10 Flying 50. The two-day event attracts vintage car owners from all over the state with sports, cars, racing cars, historic touring cars all on show.

The Albany Classic
Covering a large variety of motorsport interests the Albany Classic Motor Event is a weekend of fun for the whole family. Running through the heart of Albany’s CBD, the event presents a wide variety of cars including post-vintage, vintage wire wheels, classics and big cube muscle cars. However, with a five hour drive to Albany, you’ll want to treat yourself to a long weekend away.
