Enjoying the great outdoors
I’m enjoying the great outdoors since relocating to Australia, and I have noticed camping is quite a beloved tradition among many Australians. Whether there’s a special occasion or even just a long weekend. I always try to make the most out of it by heading out on a camping trip.
The best thing about it though, is that even if you’re a first-timer or a seasoned camper, we can all agree that there’s something so wonderful about sleeping under the stars, cooking over a campfire, and exploring the great outdoors that is truly magical.
I understand that planning a camping trip can feel like a daunting task. But trust me when I say, the reward of camping is totally worth it!. It offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature and explore the great outdoors. Which can do wonders for your mental health and well-being.
That’s why I’m excited to share with you some amazing experiences that you can have while camping. So let’s dive in!
Enjoying the moment
I believe that camping is undoubtedly one of the best ways to enjoy the great outdoors. Escape the hustle and bustle and immerse yourself in nature. It presents an excellent opportunity to unwind, recharge, and reconnect with both yourself and your loved ones.
Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or a newbie, camping has something for everyone. From thrilling activities like hiking, fishing, and swimming. Simply lounging under the shade of a tree and enjoying the serene beauty of nature.
I find nothing more soothing than beachside camping. Nothing beats the feeling of lying on the soft sand, watching the waves rolling in and out. The feeling of the cool breeze on my face. It’s the perfect getaway that allows me to escape the chaos of the city and find inner peace.
Adventure awaits
I often find that camping offers a sense of adventure and discovery. There are always new natural wonders to explore, from hidden waterfalls to stunning cliffsides and even secret entrance ways. Like this one above that I stumbled upon on my weekend away for Australia Day in Warana QLD.
We spent a wonderful long weekend camping near Kawana Beach on the Sunshine Coast in QLD. The beach was so spacious with big waves crashing around us, which allowed us to enjoy our time there to the fullest. Thankfully, we were also able to bring our furry companion along with us, who enjoyed the beach just as much as we did if not more than we did.
To make the most out of our trip, we decided to visit the Point Cartwright Lighthouse, that was beautifully decorated with art. The lighthouse had multiple scenic walking trails that led to the point and offered a breathtaking view of the ocean below. Honestly, just getting to the top and looking out across the water just made the entire experience worth it for me.
Activities a plenty
Thankfully, we were able to find the perfect camping spot with the help of HipCamp, which allows you to filter your specific requirements and helps narrow down the perfect choice. There are other sites such as Anycamp, as well as local blogs and council sites that share amazing locations and reviews for campsites.
Luckily, this spot was located within a 5-10 minute drive from multiple beaches such as Mooloolaba Beach, Coolum Beach and Mudjimba Beach, as well as hiking trails, and waterfalls. So we were able to plan many entertaining activities during the day, with enough time for us to relax and hang out in the afternoon while enjoying the sunset from our campfire spot.
Enjoy the view
